Why art thou cast down, O my soul? . . . hope thou in God.
Psalm 42:5,11
David was having real difficulties. He was getting to the point of depression. And he asks “Why?” The answer that came was, “Hope thou in God.” Depression caused by a medical problem can be cured with medication. Spiritual depression can also be cured - with God. Hoping in Him is the answer to a spiritual down. Leave the problem with Him and let Him work it out.
