Let the righteous smite me; it shall be a kindness.
Psalm 141:5
When we are rebuked by any who are walking a godly path, we should take it, not as being unkind, but as a kindness. They care for us so much that they don’t want us to get into trouble. Often we take a rebuke the wrong way -and a rebuke does hurt, no matter which way it’s meant. But we must consider the source and appreciate anything that is done to stop us in a downward course.
